Meet Hadi Hawi, QA Automation Engineer, Aproove

We love to share more behind the scenes here at Aproove, and recently shared our interview with Chief Information Officer, Sylvain Dore.

Today, we’re excited to give you another behind-the-scenes look at life here at Aproove by introducing you to one of our QA Automation Engineers, Hadi! As a QA Automation Engineer, Hadi is instrumental in developing and maintaining automated testing scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Get to know Hadi a little more, as we find out more about his career background, exciting developments at Aproove, and his favorite Aproove feature!

What was your career path before joining the Aproove team?

Before joining Aproove, I completed my Bachelor's in Software Engineering and primarily worked as a developer, focusing on designing new features and fixing bugs. While I enjoyed building software, I was drawn to a more engineering-centered role where I could optimize code, enhance efficiency, and proactively prevent bugs. My background in full-stack development, DevOps, and automation, along with experience as a software engineering tutor, has equipped me with strong problem-solving and communication skills that I bring to my current role at Aproove.

Can you describe your role at Aproove?

At Aproove, I work as a QA Automation Engineer, dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through automation. I design and implement automated test scripts that help catch bugs early in development, making our releases as smooth as possible. My work involves optimizing testing frameworks and closely collaborating with other teams to identify potential risks and enhance our continuous testing pipeline.

What attracted you to Aproove originally?

What initially drew me to Aproove was its mission to simplify work management. Having firsthand experience with the importance of effective communication and optimized workflows, I felt a strong alignment with this mission. Aproove also encourages an incredibly supportive and innovative culture, genuinely caring for employee well-being. Since day one, I’ve felt valued and appreciated here, confirming that this was the right fit for me. 

What do you like most about Aproove Work Management software? What is your favorite feature?!

What I love most about Aproove’s Work Management software is its ability to simplify complex workflows and keep everything organized. My favorite feature is Online Proofing, which centralizes content review and makes collaboration seamless with real-time feedback, version control, and intuitive annotation tools. It even provides alerts if changes on one page affect another—this is a game-changer that ensures everyone stays aligned and approvals happen more quickly.

What is a typical day like for you? What are you currently working on?

A typical day for me starts by reviewing test reports and analyzing any failures in the automated test suite. I then write or refine test scripts for new features or edge cases and spend a good portion of my day collaborating with developers to resolve bugs or performance issues found in testing. Currently, I’m focused on end-to-end user testing, simulating user scenarios to ensure the overall workflow is seamless and preemptively addressing any issues that might reach the end-user.

Anything exciting that we can look forward to development-wise for Aproove in 2025?!

Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to take on more challenging test cases and work with new technologies to keep Aproove’s software at the cutting edge. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic year for growth—for both the product and myself—and I’m eager to contribute to the exciting changes and continued success of Aproove.
